Folks, we made it. Hopefully everybody reading this has all ten fingers in tact after the 4th of July festivities and we are ready for some ON FIELD FIREWORKS in our tasty little three game slate that we have ahead of us.
Before we get to our picks for this holiday weekend of games, let's dive into our Week 16 picks and review:
IFL Week 16 Review
Green Bay -2.5 - Winner
Green Bay wins and covers with ease, 83-50
TUL-Iowa Under 82.5 - Loser
Combined for 97 points
SA-VEG Over 83.5 - Winner
Combined for 88 points at the death
NM-ARI Under 79.5 - Loser
Combined for 83 points
Tucson -3.5 - Loser
NAZ wins outright, 51-49
Orlando -1.5 - Winner
Orlando wins and covers, 45-26
San Diego ML +114 - Winner
San Diego wins, 62-55
Three of these winners were banked with ease, but that SA-VEG Over hitting is an all-timer. Walk off TD for the win AND the Over? Folks, that is why we Indoor War.
The garbage time TD in NM-ARI to crush the Under hurt, but the Beautiful Game giveth and the Beautiful Game taketh away. We'll take a 4-3 week and the +1 on the win column YTD and keep it moving into a light Week 17 slate featuring only 3 games on July 4th weekend.
LET'S FIND SOME WINNERS!
2026 IFL Record: 57-34

Vegas Knight Hawks @ New Mexico Chupacabras (Sunday 7/5 @ 4:30PM ET)
The Play: Vegas -21.5
The scales of this game are tipped considerably in one direction, as Vegas is preparing for another postseason run and a probable home playoff and New Mexico is still trying to figure out this whole "forward pass" thing.
It is unclear if Jayden De Laura will play in this one after being held out with a lower body injury last week (but was used in the "break glass in case of emergency" situation towards the end of the game), but even without De Laura this game should still be handled with ease by the Knight Hawks.
For New Mexico's sake, I hope Avaun Rucker gets the start at QB, but gimme the Knight Hawks in a romp.
Prediction: 55-25 Vegas
Green Bay Blizzard @ Orlando Pirates (Sunday 7/5 @ 7:30PM ET)
The Play: Orlando +5.5
I both love and hate this pick:
Love: Orlando is a wagon at home this year (5-0 SU & ATS)
Hate: The Blizzard are a wagon everywhere except Moline, IL
But gimme the homedogs in a game that is critical for Orlando to keep pace in the Eastern conference playoff race. If they find a way to steal this game, this puts them in a really, really good position to potentially clinch a playoff spot with their next game against San Antonio and avoid a potential anxiety-inducing "Win or Go Home" game against Fishers on the final gameday of the year.
This will be a great game that the Blizzard can very well, but it's going to be a battle. Orlando covered at the final whistle the last time these two teams played, let's see if we can ride the lightning one more time.
Prediction: 50-47 Green Bay
Arizona Rattlers @ San Diego Strike Force (Monday 7/6 @ 10:00PM ET)
The Play: San Diego ML +105
I don't fully understand how the number one team in the Western Conference is a homedog in this spot, but hey I won't ask questions and will take the plus money value with them yet again.
The Strike Force offense was rolling against Jacksonville last week and will flow through Ed Vander at the RB spot. The Special Teams unit was on fire and the Defense came up with timely stops to get the win in a tough rad environment. To me, that is the recipe for championship football this late in the season.
I expect Max Meylor to get the start again for the Rattlers in this one in what should be a very exciting back and forth affair on Monday Night Indoor Football!
Homedog moneyline to secure a home playoff game at Frontwave Arena. Book it.
Prediction: 48-40 San Diego
