Ladies and gentlemen, we're back with another picks blog and, let me tell ya, the vibes are immaculate. It's Friday, gotta get down on Friday, everybody's looking forward to the weekend and we've got ANOTHER seven-game slate on the books in the IFL.

But before we dive into this upcoming weekend, let's recap the tremendous past weekend of picks:

IFL Week 6 Review

Jacksonville -2.5 - Winner

QC-SD Over 84.5 - Winner

  • Combined for 132 points (hit the over early in the 3rd)

Iowa-GB Under 93.5 - Winner

VEG-SA Under 84.5 - Loser

  • Combined for 97 points

Tulsa +5.5 - Winner

  • Fishers wins 40-38, Tulsa covers

Arizona -9.5 - Winner

  • Arizona wins 44-32

Tucson -1.5 - Winner

  • Tucson wins 33-26

SIX AND ONE LET'S ROLLLLLLL BABY! What a thrill.

We were live with #BootsOnTheGround for the QC-SD thriller in Oceanside, CA and most of the weekend played out pretty close to what we thought. I wasn't expecting that much of an outburst of points on Friday night and I certainly didn't think the Rattlers would make us sweat that one out like that, but all wins count the same whether they are sweat-free or very, very sweaty.

But the beauty of #TheIndoorWar is that we have another batch of hot and tasty games ahead of us, and we have another opportunity to dominate the bookmakers. So please join me as I type this out in all caps:

LET'S FIND SOME WINNERS!

2026 IFL Record: 19-9

Orlando Pirates @ Green Bay Blizzard (Friday 4/24 @ 7:00PM ET)

The Play: Orlando +8.5

Sloth love Chunk

This was one of the tougher picks of the week, in my opinion. Green Bay riding high after a dominating win over Iowa and Orlando getting kicked in the teeth last week in Duval county, but this one seems like a one possession game that will come down to the final drive.

Orlando really, really needs a big game out of Pooka Williams for this to come to fruition and for them to have a fighting chance in this one. Green Bay is giving up the most rushing yards per game in the IFL right now, and Pooka getting active early will help this super talented WR group get going for the Pirates.

I'd expect more of the same from the Green Bay offense in this one as they have looked really great for most of the season, so this pick really rides or dies with what version of the Orlando offense shows up.

For my picks sake (and my Day One Orlando Pirates fandom), I hope the good one shows up at the Resch Center. I still think Green Bay wins, but Orlando covers in a one possession game.

Prediction: 48-44 Green Bay

Northern Arizona Wranglers @ San Antonio Gunslingers (Saturday 4/25 @ 5:00PM ET)

The Play: San Antonio -1.5

pew pew pew pew pew

Woof Buzz. This is one of the gnarlier matchups we're going to get this season, where somebody has to win this game. Technically. (I guess?)

I really have a hard time trusting either of these teams right now, but just going of feel and recency it seems like the edge slightly tips to San Antonio with the burst that we saw from Fred Payton Jr stepping in at QB last week. Immediately came in and provided a spark to a struggling offense, and they'll need a similar performance out of him this week to get their first win of the season.

The San Antonio defense has been better than most may realize this season despite getting thrashed last week by Vegas and they will be going up against the QB that leads the league in interceptions in NAZ QB Ramon Atkins-Frazier. I'd look for a bounce back game from them and for the Gunslingers to pull away in the second half and win this one.

Prediction: 44-34 San Antonio

Fishers Freight @ Iowa Barnstormers (Saturday 4/25 @ 8:00PM ET)

The Play: Under 90.5

RIP Chuck Norris fr fr

Last week, we finally conquered the curse of the Iowa Overs and I think we gotta go back to what worked for this one. The way Iowa was going to win that game against Green Bay last week was by being methodical with running the ball and controlling the pace of the game, which they did at first but really struggled to finish and extend drives.

They are going to have to do something similar here with a Fishers offense that can be white-hot if you let them. The -19.5 is fitting for the matchup, but it's a just a littttttle too rich for my comfort level. (Highest IFL spread since 2023, per Alec Schuberth from Sports Coast to Coast).

Over 90.5 is saying that there will be roughly 13 TDs scored in this game, and I just can't see that happening in a game featuring the Iowa Barnstormers right now. The last time these teams played, they just barely broke that total at 96 but only after some wacky scores in the 2nd half.

Give me the under again.

Prediction: 50-35 Fishers

Tulsa Oilers @ Arizona Rattlers (Saturday 4/25 @ 8:00PM ET)

The Play: Over 83.5

This tbh

What a fantastic matchup we've got here.

Both teams coming off of gritty, hard-nosed games where the defenses played well and the offenses were tripping over their own feet a bit. But we've seen what both of these offenses can be this season and it feels like this number is a little on the low side all things considered.

TJ Edwards has been letting it fly for the Oilers this season, but they are going to need to find a way to finish drives when it gets to the last 10-20% of the field. Arizona is gonna have to find their mojo on offense again with Max Meylor getting it done through the air, which it just feels like they are due for a pop. They have yet to break 50 this season, which is surprising considering the talent they have on the offensive side of the ball.

I think we get a fun game where the Over hits early in the 4th quarter and should come down to the wire with a thrilling finish. Up and over.

Prediction: 54-50 Arizona

New Mexico Chupacabras @ Vegas Knight Hawks (Saturday 4/25 @ 9:00PM ET)

The Play: Over 87.5

Retweet

This Vegas offense has been on a HEATER over the past month, averaging SIXTY (60) points per game in their last three and have been simply overwhelming teams.

Now put this white-hot offense up against a New Mexico defense who just fired their defensive coordinator and will have a new one at the helm for the first time this week.

Oh boy.

Ja'Rome Johnson is getting his first crack at his former team but this matchup is a rough one for New Mexico. Overs have hit in each of the last three Vegas games, so I'll go with that instead of the -16.5 in this one. Hell, I might do both as a side bet just for fun.

Vegas Overs, bigly.

Prediction: 64-39 Vegas

Jacksonville Sharks @ Quad City Steamwheelers (Sunday 4/26 @ 4:00PM ET)

The Play: Quad City +5.5

Would the Tin Man be a Quad City fan? Discuss.

Homedogs. Quad City got run out of the building their last time out in San Diego, but this a very different team at home than on the road -- as history as shown us:

  • Home record since 2023 - 19-6

  • Away record since 2023 - 11-16

There's just something about Vibrant Arena at The MARK and that home-field advantage.

Jacksonville is coming off of a big win against Orlando and played really, really well, but it feels like Quad City is in yet another "must win" situation here to avoid falling to 2-4 on the season. I'd expect the energy to be ramped up to an 11 for this one and Quad City to snag this one to keep pace in the East.

Full steam ahead.

Prediction: 48-42 Quad City

Tucson Sugar Skulls @ San Diego Strike Force (Sunday 4/26 @ 7:30PM ET)

The Play: San Diego -5.5

Live look at the San Diego offense last week

San Diego is coming off of the biggest points explosion of the IFL season so far, where the scored touchdowns on 9 out of 10 drives and seemingly was doing whatever they wanted through the air. Tucson is coming off of a game where they were constantly stalling on offense behind a new QB at the helm in Kacey Otto, and this is just a matchup of team in top form vs a team looking for answers after some injuries on offense and defense in recent weeks.

Not going to over think this one and I'm gonna take the hot hand in San Diego. Strike Force, medium-to-big.

Prediction: 50-36 San Diego
