Week TEN is here. We've entered the double digits and the official halfway point of the regular season. The Eastern Conference is getting VERY top heavy, while the middle of the Western Conference is starting to cannibalize each other.

We've got a five game IFL slate where EVERY road team is favored, which is pretty rare to see -- so we might have some prime homedog spots...

But before we dive into this upcoming week, let's see how last week went.

IFL Week 9 Review

Tulsa-Quad City Over 77.5 - Loser

  • Combined for 70 points

Tucson +10.5 - Loser

  • Panthers win 68-57, cover by 0.5

Fishers-Jacksonville Under 80.5 - Loser

  • Combined for 86 points

San Diego -3.5 - Loser

  • Gunslingers win outright 49-48

Green Bay -6.5 - Winner

  • Blizzard win 74-57

Vegas +5.5 - Winner

  • Rattlers win 50-47, Knight Hawks covers

Northern Arizona +2.5 - Winner

  • Wranglers win outright 33-20

Some weeks going 3-4 feels like a curse, others a blessing. Starting 0-4 and ending with 3 straight wins to close the weekend definitely made it feel like the latter in this situation.

Tucson missing the cover by HALF a point after 3 missed XPs & a failed 2 pt conversion in the final minute was BRUTAL. But seven game slates aren't meant to be easy. They test us mentally, emotionally & physically as we try to absorb as much indoor ball as we can.

But we have a NEW week upon us. A chance to go out there and just stack some Ws.

LET'S FIND SOME WINNERS!

2025 IFL Record: 28-22

QUICK NOTE: There was a game played last night in Iowa between the Oilers & the Barnstormers, but I wasn't gonna have the blog ready in time for kickoff there... but I DID post a pick before kickoff! And fellas....

...it did not work out. We're starting this week 0-1.

Iowa Overs being 7-1 on the year is CRAZY. Defense is on a historically bad pace in terms of points per game allowed and the offense has big play ability with a healthy portion of "oh no what was that THROW" type of interceptions.

But nonetheless, we ride at dusk.

Bay Area Panthers vs San Antonio Gunslingers (Saturday 5/24 @ 7:05PM ET)

The Play: Over 82.5

Chaotic GIF is chaotic, I'm so sorry

Bay Area has been a runaway freight train on offense lately, with QB Josh Jones & WR Josh Tomas creating quite a devastating 1-2 punch on the ground and Jones really opening things up through the air.

Now insert San Antonio, who ERUPTED for 7 Passing TDs last week in the debut of Joaquin Callazo III at QB1. He was able to connect with WRs Nyqwan Murray & Kali Rashaad a ton really got things going for them. The Bay Area defense got scorched last week vs Tucson & the San Antonio defense has given up 48+ in 3 of the last 5.

This seems like another mid-40s to low-50s type of game with Bay Area coming out on top in a revenge game for their season opener.

Prediction: 50-43 Bay Area

Jacksonville Sharks vs Fishers Freight (Saturday 5/24 @ 7:05PM ET)

The Play: Under 81.5

This loop is hypnotizing. I can't look away.

This is a unique 'home and home' quirk in this year's schedule, where these teams just played each other in Duval County last week and will be playing again this weekend in Fishers. They hit 86 points last week when Jacksonville's offense played a PERFECT turnover free game and Fishers continued their trend of puking all over themselves.

Fishers HAS to control this game on the ground if they want a chance in this one and Jacksonville is going to want to do the same. Combined two teams that love running the ball and that usually results in longer drives and less scoring opportunities.

I think we see Fishers make some adjustments on the defensive side to slow down Jacksonville a bit in this one, and their gonna need every bit of that home field support to have a chance to pull off the upset.

I still think Jacksonville wins but in a tighter game than what we saw last week.

Prediction: 41-35 Jacksonville

Arizona Rattlers vs Northern Arizona Wranglers (Saturday 5/24 @ 9:05PM ET)

The Play: Northern Arizona +13.5

Northern Arizona is a very nice place, highly recommend.

This is my "I hate this pick but at the same time I LOVE this pick" pick of the week. You really don't see spreads this large in the IFL very often, with Arizona getting one earlier this year against this same NAZ team where they were able to cover a massive -15.5 spread.

Northern Arizona Unders are 7-0 heading into this week thanks to great defensive play and bad offense through the first 5 games of the year, but this feels like a game where we might be knocking on the door of that streak more of a sweat than we're used to.

This Northern Arizona team just has a new feel to them with QB Ramone Atkins in the mix. He made a strong debut last week and didn't have any backbreaking turnovers against the Pirates, and clearly had some rust he was knocking off and some rapport he was building with his WRs.

If he can sustain drives and protect the ball, the Wranglers can make this a ball game. I think the Rattlers win a close one in Prescott Valley.

Prediction: 39-36 Arizona

Vegas Knight Hawks vs San Diego Strike Force (Sunday 5/25 @ 9:05PM ET)

The Play: Vegas -1.5

Vegas Vegas Vegas

Vegas has been looking really good lately and San Diego has just been a lot more unpredictable. The Knight Hawks offense has been running the ball well and finding WR Quentin Randolph on big plays in recent weeks, and that defense has been able to come up with timely stops.

San Diego is missing the "it factor" on offense. Depending on your perspective, they haven't prolific enough through the passing game to make up for a lack of a rushing attack OR they haven't been effective enough on the ground to compliment their passing game. They are in a dangerous grey area right now on offense and will have to rely on their defense to keep them in this one and provide them with opportunities.

I like the momentum that Vegas is riding right now. Knight Hawks.

Prediction: 42-39 Knight Hawks
