It's a beautiful day and a wonderful time to be alive. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and OTW is off to a WHITE HOT start to IFL Picks for the 2025 season.

Last week I made the bold decision to ONLY pick winners -- and it paid off in a big way.

IFL Week 1 Review

Jacksonville +5.5 - Winner

  • Sharks win outright 46-25

Green Bay-Quad City U85.5 - Winner

  • Combine for 76 points

Tulsa -1.5 - Winner

  • Tulsa wins and covers 28-20

I even gave the people a +595 IFL Parlay on Wager Wednesdays over on our friend Alec's YouTube channel!

What a way to start the season!

Now, we can't get too ahead of ourselves here and have to stay hungry and stay humble. Will we go 6-0 this week in the IFL? Maybe, maybe not -- but it all starts one game at a time, on drive at a time, one play at a time.

(I will be insufferable if we go 6-0, just warning you now)

LET'S FIND SOME WINNERS!

2025 IFL Record: 3-0

Iowa Barnstormers @ Green Bay Blizzard (Friday 3/28 @ 6:05PM CT)

The Play: Green Bay -5.5

Bundle up... the Blizz are coming.

This one comes down to a couple of primary factors for me:

  1. Blizzard played in Week 1 and got punched in the mouth by Quad City on the road.

  2. We don't know what to expect out of Iowa on offense making their season debut, especially at the QB position.

Max Meylor is going to get into a groove soon and the Blizz offense started to get things going late against the Steamwheelers. The choice is:

  • Green Bay at home with an experienced QB

  • Iowa team trotting out a rookie QB to the indoor game against one of the best defenses in the IFL (historically).

Prediction: 44-35 Green Bay

Quad City Steamwheelers @ Massachusetts Pirates (Friday 3/28 @ 6:05PM CT)

The Play: Quad City ML +100

TIL: Steam(wheeler) Willy is celebrating his 97th birthday this year

This was one I struggled with a bit, but I just can't pick the Pirates until I can see some competency out of the QB position. There are way too many talented pieces on the Massachusetts offense to not perform well and they just tanked themselves with bad decisions and bad turnovers in Week 1 against Jacksonville.

Both teams played in Week 1, but the difference is Quad City had a good debut on offense last week with new QB Daquan Neal and was able to get things moving and grooving and pick up key first downs down the stretch.

This is gonna be a close one, but I think Quad City wins and we start to shift the perception of the Steamwheelers from what they were in 2024 to what they are in 2025.

Prediction: 41-36 Quad City

Fishers Freight @ Northern Arizona Wranglers (Saturday 3/29 @ 8:05PM CT)

The Play: Fishers ML +100

Allllll aboard!

The IFL debut of the Fishers Freight is finally here! They open on the road across the country in Prescott, AZ to take on the Wranglers and I see them taking the win here.

I like what Coach Dixie Wooten has done roster wise to build out both sides of the ball, with a lot of experience on defense and some exciting pieces in the mix on offense. QB Jiya Wright is one of the most interesting situations I'll be monitoring this week, as he performed pretty well on a bad Sioux Falls team last year when he was thrown the reigns. Northern Arizona has a TON of turnover both with the players and the coaching staff, and it feels like there is going to be an adjustment period as they get things going. I like the foundation of what they have, but need to see some of it in action before I can confidently side with them picks-wise.

Gimme the Freight going 1-0!

Prediction: 46-40 Fishers

Tucson Sugar Skulls @ Arizona Rattlers (Sunday 3/30 @ 5:05PM CT)

The Play: Over 82.5

Lots of these plz, ty

This is a game that is a lottttt more interesting than I think most people are giving it credit for. Arizona coming in as the defending league champs vs a Tucson team that is basically re-tooled from top to bottom. Tucson had a TON of different QBs start for them last year, but how soon we forget that they started 2024 really strong on offense.

  • 48 points in Week 1

  • 56 points in Week 2 (before things fell apart after the Mylik Mitchell injury)

This could be a closer game than we think. I feel like Arizona wins this game, but I just don't like the -8.5 line. Let's just root for points.

Prediction: 50-45 Arizona

San Antonio Gunslingers @ Bay Area Panthers (Sunday 3/30 @ 8:05PM CT)

The Play: Bay Area -7.5

Bay Area is about to be a problem again, send help

This one has a 'bloodbath' written all over it. San Antonio looked very rough last week, especially at the QB spot. If NyQwan Murray & Kali Rashaad aren't back for the Gunslingers, the Bay Area defense is gonna have a day. They are returning many key pieces in that secondary that thrived last year (Joe Foucha, Tyler Watson) and bringing in some veteran pieces in Shamar Moreland & Trae Meadows. Malik Henry is gonna have to ball out to keep up with what is expected to be a potent offense for Bay Area, who is getting several key pieces of the NAZ Wranglers offense (including QB Josh Jones & OC Rod Windsor).

Bay Area looks prime for another run and San Antonio will have to show SIGNIFICANT growth from Week 1 to compete here.

Prediction: 45-30 Bay Area

Vegas Knight Hawks @ San Diego Strike Force (Monday 3/31 @ 9:05PM CT)

The Play: Over 84.5

This one is gonna be so good.

Monday night football in San Diego, baby! We've got reigning IFL MVP Ja'Rome Johnson and his cavalry of offensive weapons heading into San Diego to take on Nate Davis and the Strike Force.

These teams collided twice in 2024:

  • 68-64 Vegas win in Vegas

  • 60-59 San Diego win in San Diego

For those keeping track at home, that is a LOT of points.

This Vegas team will be able to put up points in bunches and fully expect a Nate Davis led team to do the same -- even with some new faces in the mix at WR.

This one has #OffTheWallCertifiedBanger potential written all over it.

Prediction: 56-52 Vegas
