Folks, we made it. Congratulations to each and every single one of you that made it through the longest six month offseason and having to deal with the "outdoor" game without walls and... shivers... no deuces.
But before we proceed, please stand and remove your caps for our national anthem.

In what is shaping up to be one of the more exciting IFL seasons in recent memory, we are here and it is time to start the season off RIGHT. Buckle up your chin straps and get to stretching, because it's going to be a long 20 week regular season ahead.
LET'S FIND SOME WINNERS!
2026 IFL Record: 0-0

Quad City Steamwheelers vs Fishers Freight (Saturday 3/14 @ 5:00PM ET)
The Play: Fishers +8.5
Allllll aboard
We'll be LIVE in the building for this one and this is gonna be a heater. Two of the most talented rosters in the IFL colliding in the league's debut on the Yahoo Sports Network.
Quad City is re-loading from their 2025 roster that was 1-2 plays away from the IFL National Championship and Fishers is re-loading with a lot of key pieces that ended their inaugural 2025 season on a 5-game winning streak.
Daquan Neal vs Felix Harper in a QB duel
Fishers strong & tall WRs vs a stout Quad City secondary
Quad City's big, bad D-line vs Fishers' mountainous O-line
What a showdown in Week 1.. and it's a little crazy to me that the line is 8.5! Leading into this week, I would have had the line at Quad City -3.5... so I'll take the 5 points in value here for the Fishers play. It feels like this is a one possession game that can come down to the wire.
Prediction: 44-39 Quad City
Vegas Knight Hawks vs Green Bay Blizzard (Monday 3/16 @ 7:00PM ET)
The Play: Under 94.5
No pressure no diamonds, right KK
Death. Taxes. IFL Week 1 Unders.
In 2024, Unders started the season on an 8-0 run as teams got into a rhythm. It takes a little more time for offenses to get into a rhythm and defenses typically
2025 Week 1 was an Under-palooza and I would expect more of the same this week. Vegas is returning key pieces at QB1 & WR1 with a ton of skill players from around the IFL coming in (Josh Tomas at RB/WR, Deshon Stoudemire at WR), so it feels like Vegas will be able to do their part towards the total.
Green Bay, however, lost 110+ TDs in production at the QB & RB position and will be looking for answers on offense. It feels like it will take some time to get to where they want to be. This total seems to be based on 2025 Vegas vs 2025 Green Bay instead of this year's squads.
Prediction: 46-38 Vegas
